Good afternoon,

Prayer Requests

Pastor Danny Guillen of Primera Iglesia Bautista, Hanford -- Danny has liver cancer and is waiting for a liver transplant.

Bill Shackleford, former pastor of FSBC Selma -- Bill recently fell and has other health problems. If you would like to send a card you may send it to: 4249 E. Heaton Ave, Apt B, Fresno 93727.

Tom Kelly, former director of the Black Church Extension. He recently fell off a ladder and injured his knees and back. He already has had both knees and his back operated on so the doctors are very concerned.

Valton Prince -- he is now in a hospice care center fighting cancer of the esophagus. Pray for Valton and his family.

Alan McWhorter -- pray for Alan and his family.

Alan Greaves -- continued prayer for Alan and his family.

Harry Williams -- pray that he regains his strength after heart surgery.

Melody -- Ron & Carol Climer's niece -- she had been fighting an infection.

The program includes Richard & Lisa Blackaby speaking on the theme of "The Face of Grace in Marriage and Ministry". The cost is $200/couple which includes three meals with the room. Certification classes in Mass Feeding, Clean-Up and Recovery, Chainsaw Training, Chaplaincy, Communication, and Temporary Emergency Child Care. Don Hargis of CSBC will lead this event. October 27-28, 2006 Peacemaker Training Level 1 & 2. Hosted by MVSBA at Copper Springs Church, Clovis. Led by Peter Celum. Pastors and lay leaders will learn about developing a culture of peace within your church. They will be able to equip people to strengthen relationship and resolve conflicts through biblical principles. To register call Rita at the Mid-Valley office 297-5550. Time and cost TBA.

Harry Williams -- Surgery went very well and Harry is recuperating nicely. Joyce reports that the breathing tube was removed, Harry was eating, and sleepy well. Please keep Harry in your prayers as his body regains strength.

Melody -- Ron & Carol Climer's niece -- Melody is fighting a possible kidney infection. Carol has been at the hospital with Melody. There is concern since Melody has a shunt in her brain.

Weekly Update 6/01/06

Good afternoon,

Needed: Pastor David Zamora of Set Free Ministries needs a good mechanic to fix his van -- it has been out of commission of a month now. They have been told it needs a new motor. Do you know someone who would take a look at it and possibly fix free of charge or for less than a garage would charge? Contact David or Shari at 277-3992. Also pray for Pastor David as he has a broken arm caused from a motorcycle accident.
Prayer request: Charles Travis, Music Pastor at Sierra Heights, has accepted a new position at a church in Maryland. Their home in Fresno is now for sale and they are praying for a quick sale.

Equip Bible Institute -- Summer Session begins Tuesday, June 6, 6pm at Grace Community Church Madera. The class will consist of seven 4 hour sessions (6-10pm). Old Testament Survey with Mr. Mike Linn as instructor. Cost: $125 plus $15 for book. Call 674-1172 to register.
